EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY |
On the 26th of October, FEDECOM celebrated their Extraordinary General Assembly in the facilities of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany . Presidents and Secretary Generals of the Spanish Chambers of Commerce in Europe and Morocco (Tanger and Casablanca) attended the meeting. The Agenda of the Assembly was as follows:
1.- Opening of the Assembly by Mr Juan Jose De Vicente Caballero, President of FEDECOM and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany.
2.- Lecture, discussion and approval of the Act of the Ordinary General Assembly on the 15/06/2007 in Sevilla.
3.- Ongoing projects:
- "Intercámaras" magazine.
- Actualization of "Business Guide".
- Business Guide in the Enlarged Europe.
- Call for proposals EACEA/30/07.
4.- Budget project for the Activities Program 2008.
5.- Open Forum.

COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION COURSE |
The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has organized a course on commercial arbitration. The goal of this course is, on one hand, to encourage arbitration between partners of the Spanish Chambers of Commerce Abroad and between each country's companies, and on the other hand, to introduce the advantages of the Spanish Law on arbitration as opposed to other international directives.
This course is aimed at those who may be involved in commercial contracts and introduce the arbitration clause (lawyers, businessmen, etc.), it will be given (on the 12th, the 19th and the 26th of April and the 3rd and 10th of May) by senior personnel from "Uría Menéndez", one of the most prestigious Spanish law firms with strong international projection, offices in many countries and a wide experience in arbitration. The lectures will be given through video-conference, and the course will involve four two-hour lectures, and a fifth lecture for discussion and questions.

GUIDE TO BUSINESS IN EUROPE 2007 |
| Information is an essential requirement for making the correct decisions and, therefore, having good information to hand has always been a fundamental tool for conducting business in any part of the world. This is FEDECOM’s main point in creating the “Guide to Business in Europe”. This guide is the result of cooperation between the Federation of Spanish Chambers of Commerce in Europe (FEDECOM), PricewaterhouseCoopers and the following National Investment Agencies: Invest in Germany, Invest in Belgium, Invest in France, UK Trade & Investment, Invest in Italy, Invest in Portugal and the Spanish Sociedad Estatal para la Promoción y Atracción de Inversiones Exteriores.
The presentation of the Guide took place on Monday, 12 December 2005 at 1:00pm in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Industry Tourism and Trade. Senior officials from the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and from the recently established State Company for the Promotion and Attraction of Investments attended this event.
